CODIVA
CODIVA is the first legally registered organization founded in 2011 that works to promote the rights of sexual and gender minorities in Timor-Leste. It exist to promote equal rights for sexual and gender minorities. It is working to create a safe environment for sexual and gender minorities in Timor-Leste that is free of discrimination.
Believing on human rights for all and gender equality, it is focusing on defending the rights of LGBTI people and improve their access to opportunities besides providing a safe space for the LGBTI community members and help develop their capacity.It emphases on promoting the education of SOGIESC (Sexual Orientation, Identity and Gender Expression and Sexual Characteristics) to help build a tolerant and inclusive society.
PRADET
PRADET (Psychosocial Recovery & Development in East Timor)
PRADET was started in 2000 as an Australian consortium with AUSAID funding (Refer to history of PRADET). PRADET was constituted as a national NGO in 2002 to provide a psychosocial service for people who are experiencing trauma, mental illness and other psychosocial problems in East Timor.

FOKUPERS
FOKUPERS was established in 1997 to address gender-based violence and human rights violations against women and children, particularly those committed at the time of the Indonesian occupation of Timor Leste. Today, this community based not-for-profit organization has been operating for almost twenty years and has expanded its service delivery to include victim services, non-gender based early childhood education, advocacy, and the empowerment of women - both in the community and in Timor Leste as a nation. This work is supported through the involvement of thirty one community based women’s groups in eight municipalities. It incorporates the operation of shelters, creches, legal support, training and development, economic empowerment, and community awareness raising.
MARIESTOPES TIMOR LESTE
Mariestopes Timor Leste provide comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services in Timor Leste. It works in partnership with the Ministry of Health, and with support from the Australian Embassy in Timor-Leste. It provides services through Family Health Clinic in Dili, outreach team, mobile tents across the country and national youth hotline – Liña Foin-Sa’e. -Leste.

The Ombudsman’s vision is to protect human rights, strengthen integrity and promote good governance in Timor-Leste. Its mission is: Education: The creation of a public conscience through the promotion of a culture that respects the principles of human rights, rule of law and good governance; Promotion of cooperation: to provide motivation and assistance to entities and public agencies to develop policies, procedures, internal training and complaint mechanisms that promote human rights and good governance; Resolution: To effectively address the issue of human right violations and mal-administration using mechanisms which deal with complaints effectively and through a process that promotes mediation and conciliation; Investigation, Inquiry and Monitoring: The provision of recommendations on the means and ways to protect human rights and good governance, based on the results of investigation, inquiry and monitoring (directly or in partnership with its partners in civil society) that will guarantee the constitutionality of legislative decisions, the protection of human rights, the strengthening of integrity and the promotion of good governance in Timor-Leste.
JU'S
JU'S is a social enterprise with the mission to support the strengthening of human rights in Timor-Leste and other developing countries through a legal approach Most of the work undertaken by JU’S aims at supporting their clients in positively impacting on human rights and gender equality in Timor-Leste and other developing countries. JU’S has also expertise in gender sensitive mediation, supporting national institutions to develop its capacity, including internal management systems as well as community leaders. JU’S develops Pocketcards with information on crime elements, investigation evidence collection and other information to be ready accessible to specialized police unit on GBV. Moreover, provides services to support institutions to strengthen their capacity to prevent sexual harassment and other GBV, to develop internal systems for reporting and capacity development to ensure disciplinary responsibility for these violations. It has been providing pro-bono services to LGBTQI+ community and supporting them to address issues around human rights and legal rights violation.
